The Results
The results of those on Body Enhancer were to be compared
against those who undertake a regular programme of managed exercise
and physical activity but are not on Body Enhancer.
An interesting factor emerged from the final results
in that during the first 11 weeks of the trial there were 12 occasions
when candidates either reported sick or did not report for a 'weigh
in'. During the final 12 weeks there was not one reported case of
sickness of failure to report, despite the fact that the second
12 week period fell within the colder months of June, July and August.
Furthermore, participants were also made aware that
the results from the use of Body Enhancer may differ according to
body type, and the level of adherence to instructions.
Group A - Body Enhancer and Regular Exercise
- The weights of each candidate were recorded weekly throughout
the 24 week trial period.
- 100% of Group A candidates lost weight with the average loss
of 5.79kg.
- Average measurement losses were; Waist (5.28cm), Hip (3.12cm),
Chest (1.80cm).
- Six candidates showed an initial weight increase which is
normal for approximately 20% of people who initially store water
when suddenly increasing their daily water intake.
- It is important to note that after only 12 weeks of Body Enhancer
and moderate exercise, no condidate was heavier in weight than
they were before they started.
- Candidates 34 and 35 did not partake in week 4 measures.
Group B - Body Enhancer Only
-
The weights of each candidate were recorded
weekly throughout the 24 week trial period.
-
90% of Group B candidates achieved average weight
loss of 4.34kg despite that fact that they were doing no exercise.
-
Average measurement losses were; Waist (3.35cm),
Hip (2.8cm), Chest (0.74cm).
-
Only 7 candidates showed an initial weight
increase which is normal for approx 20% of people who initially
store water when suddenly increasing their daily water intake.
Candidate 5 started at 66 kg, lost 6 kg over the first 12 weeks
but put 1.2 kg back on during the final 12 weeks. The final
weight of this candidate was 61.2kg, showing an overall weight
loss of 4.8 kg. This usually happens when people become careless
with their diet after an initial success.
-
4 candidates, 9, 20, 24 and 35, i.e. 10%, gained
weight over the duration of the trial with an average weight
gain of 1.3kg. We have always advertised that Body Enhancer
has a success rate of 90%. Weight gain is usually due to hormonal
imbalance or fluid retention. Approx 20% of people initially
store water when suddenly increasing their daily water intake
but this tends to right itself as the kidneys are stimulated
over a prolonged period.
-
Candidate 39 gained weight initially but showed
an overall weight loss at the end of the trial.
-
Candidate 13 wished to refrain from having hip
measurements conducted throughout programme.
Group C - Regular Exercise Only
-
The weights of each candidate were recorded
weekly throughout the 24 week trial period.
-
40% of Group C candidates (8 people) gained
weight with the average weight gain of 6.9kg.
-
55% of Group C candidates lost weight with
the average loss of 1.2 kg.
-
5% of Group candidates showed no change after
24 weeks of exercise.
-
Average measurement losses were; Waist (0.57cm),
Hip (0.52cm), Chest (0cm).
-
As these candidates were not taking Body Enhancer
they were not told to drink large amounts of water so their
weight gain could not be attributed to fluid retention.
-
Candidate 6 was the only candidate who lost
an appreciable amount of weight on an 'exercise only' programme.
